HSBC Multi Cap Fund has completed three years of its existence, delivering a CAGR of 22.56% since inception, i.e. 30-Jan-23. The scheme has outperformed its benchmark, the NIFTY 500 Multicap 50:25:25 TRI (19.01%), as well as the additional benchmark Nifty 50 TRI (14.10%).

On January 30, 2023, the fund was introduced with the goal of delivering long-term capital growth. The scheme maintains structural diversity across market sectors by adhering to a strict multi-cap approach that requires a minimum allocation of 25% to large-, mid-, and small-cap stocks, respectively.
The fund employs a Growth at Reasonable Price valuation technique to build its portfolio and primarily uses a bottom-up approach for stock selection in an effort to find scalable companies that are reasonably valued, managed by qualified experts, and have sound financial standing. As of January 31, 2026, the scheme managed an AUM of Rs 5,176.73 crore.

From the standpoint of systematic investing, a monthly SIP of Rs 10,000 since the beginning, or 30 January 2023, would have grown the Rs 3.60 lakh invested to Rs 4,39,547, yielding an XIRR of 13.41%, surpassing the benchmark's 11.32% return. (Note: The scheme benchmark's value (NIFTY 500 Multicap 50:25:25 TRI) has gone up to Rs 4,26,445 within the same time period.
