How can a customer get a new domestic LPG connection from the nearest LPG distributor?
New LPG connection for customers is available on demand across the length and breadth of the country. On providing adequate validity proof of identification and residential address proof along with the duly filled in application form, one can secure a new LPG connection from the nearest dealer/distributor.
The following are the list of documents which one needs to submit to secure a new connection:
Proof of Address Documents (any one of the following)

• Ration Card

• Lease Agreement
• Flat Allotment
• Self-declaration attested by a Gazetted Officer
• Aadhaar Card
• House Registration Document
• Rental Agreement Document
• Electricity Bill

• Debit card or Credit card statement

At the time of registration, the distributor will send an intimation letter to the registered address. One needs to carry the letter and the envelope to the distributor to avail the connection. At the time of securing an LPG connection, one has to buy an ISI mark hot plate conforming to IS:4246 and a Suraksha LPG hose confirming to IS:9573 (Type IV), so after securing the connection one can use the same to install the cylinder at the residence.
Apart from this one has to pay a security deposit at the time of securing the connection which differs from one distributor to another.
